Telecabine de Lisboa

The Lisbon Telecabine is a cable car located on the riverside area of ​​the northern bank of the Tagus estuary, adjacent to the Olivais dock. This equipment was part of the set of infrastructures built for EXPO98 and has been in operation since 1998. Gravidade developed the renovation and repairing project of the the reinforced concrete foundations of the pile caps that support the cable car masts. The concrete showed signs of corrosion of the reinforcements, justified by the chloride penetration values ​​found in the test campaign carried out. Several repair techniques were prescribed, including: restoration of the passivity of the reinforcement bars, control of the anodic/cathodic areas, restoration of the contaminated concrete and protection against the ingress of aggressive agents.
