Deep Retreats Cabo da Roca

Deep Retreats Cabo da Roca is a complex designed for personal development located in Atalaia de Cima, Sintra. It is Integrated into a property with dense vegetation cover and a gentle slope to the west (sea view). The main building consisting of a semi-underground floor and two upper floors, a water surface and a swimming pool. The six bungalow-type modules consist of a ground floor and flat green roofs. The total GCA is approximately 1,100m2. Gravidade designed reinforced concrete frame structures with direct foundations. We also studied the use of concrete with aggregates reclaimed from the leftovers of the Pero Pinheiro marble industry, located near the construction site. The study was diven in partnership with BetãoLiz and Instituto Superior Técnico University. We achieved strength and durability values ​​that are practically identical to those of concrete with natural limestone aggregates. Gravidade was responsible for the development of Structural and Foundations projects from concept to detailed design and for the coordination of all the engineering disciplines.
