Condomínio Vale das Amendoeiras

The multi-residential housing Vale das Amoreiras complex is located in Sesimbra Village, integrated into the hillside of the Castle and near the Ouro Beach on a 7,6820m² plot. Includes 71 dwellings , typologies from T0 to T4 with balconies, courtyards, and terraces, along two buildings, both with 5 high floors, one with 6 underground floors and the other with 3 totalling a GCA of 14,662m². The underground and parcial underground floors are destinated for parking, condo spaces, two outdoor pools, sauna, solarium, as well as several technical areas. The existing building, vacant, was fully renovated. The engineering service delivery included structural survey of existent buildings, material characterization tests, structural checks, including seismic vulnerability, for the new architectural proposal and the current standards framework, and the overall strengthening of the reinforced concrete structure mainly for seismic action. Reinforcement solutions sought to correct structual design faults, significantly improve the building response to the seismic action and eliminate structural elements resistance weekness. Gravidade was responsible for the design of Structures and Foundations, from design to execution, and the coordination of all engineering specialties.
