Odemira CEDI

The Southwest Business Development and Incubation Center is a municipal initiative to reconvert a building complex in the center of Odemira. The intervention included the demolition of some pre-existing structures, the refurbishment and structural reinforcement of two buildings and the construction of a new building with a total of 1920m2 of GCA. The rehabilitation and reinforcement of the main building, dating from the end of the 19th century, included the execution of a reinforced concrete layer inside the walls and the replacement of the floors, roofs and stairs. The new building is a reinforced concrete framed structure with two floors and direct foundations. Gravidade was responsible for the development of Structural and Foundations projects from concept to detailed design and for the coordination of all the engineering disciplines.
